Op.48


Music for the film Volochaev Days (The Far East, Intervention in the Far East) by scriptwriters and directors Georgy and Sergei Vasiliev.

It was written in 1936-37 in Leningrad.

The film premiered on January 20, 1938. An abridged version was released in America in 1938 under the name The Defense of Volochaevsk, and on August 26, 1942 as The Battle for Siberia.

An incomplete autograph of the score was preserved at the Russian National Museum of Music.
